It takes a village to help Ahlam
Coordinated efforts of UN organizations, local authorities, civil society, and diplomats made it possible for Ahlam to exit Gaza with her mother for a much-needed surgery .in Jerusalem. It took a village.
Much more is needed. In the first six months of 2022, nearly 1,000 children from Gaza were not given permits from Israeli authorities in time to reach their hospital appointments.
Everyone should be able access the health care they need.
