Three-year-old Ameer went through eye surgery for cancer. He now needs a permit to exit Gaza for an eye clinic appointment in East Jerusalem. Since February, Ameer’s family has made five applications to Israeli authorities for permits to reach the clinic. None were approved in time. Ameer’s latest appointment will be on 11 July. The family is waiting to find out if they will receive a permit.
Everyone should have access to the health care they need.
