“I am pregnant and full of fear.” — Fatima Nassar, 26
Bearing Witness
“I am pregnant and full of fear. My cousin was five months pregnant when Israeli settlers attacked her with large stones. I am expecting my baby in two months. She hopefully will bring light to our lives. We will name her Mira. I pray to keep me and my baby safe, and to take the fear off our hearts.”
— Fatima Nassar, 26, member of Village Council of Madama village
Fatima Kheir Sa’adeh Nassar, a pregnant 26-year-old, works for the village council of Madama. She is “pregnant and full of fear.” Her first child will be a girl named Mira. Fatima only became pregnant after many trials with IVF (treatments pictured above). Her close friend was recently attacked while pregnant by settlers, so she is extra terrified.
