The morning of 7 July, 2021, Israeli authorities seized homes and belongings from communities at Humsa Al Baqai’a. Humsa is part of what Israeli authorities have declared a “firing zone”: areas for Israeli military training. The community has been displaced by military training more than 50 times since 2012. All of the communities’ belongings, including food, clothing, bedding, and children’s toys, were taken away on trucks. and dumped at a site where Israeli authorities want to relocate the communities. The Bedouin communities at Humsa Al Baqai’a have had their homes destroyed multiple times now. Forced displacement is illegal under international law.
